THIS WEEK IN CONTENT DEALS
Companies Details
eMusic, EMI Online subscription-based music and audio book store eMusic inked a deal with record company EMI to add more than 15,000 albums to its catalog.
Hulu, Miramax Streaming video portal Hulu signed an agreement with Miramax to make movies from its library of films like “Good Will Hunting” and “Scream” available to Hulu Plus subscribers.
SoundCloud, Tumblr Online music distribution platform SoundCloud partnered with blogging company Tumblr to allow users to share audio files uploaded to SoundCloud on Tumblr blogs.
TiVo, Hulu TiVo made a deal with Hulu to add the Hulu Plus subscription streaming video service directly to its TiVo Premiere DVR set-top boxes.

Zozi, 500Startups, ZIG Capital, LaunchCapital Local activity deals Web site Zozi secured $7 million in a round B of funding led by inside investors, with participation from 500Startups, ZIG Capital, LaunchCapital and others.

DFJ Tamir Fishman
Mobile search company Do@ released its mobile search application for iPhone and landed $7 million in its first round of funding led by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, with BRM Capital and DFJ Tamir Fishman also participating.
VYou, Highland Capital Partners, RRE Ventures, Broadway Video Ventures, High Peaks Venture Partners   Online video question and answer platform VYou landed $3 million in its first round of financing from Highland Capital Partners and RRE Ventures, with Broadway Video Ventures and High Peaks Venture Partners also participating in the investment.
Yandex Russian IT company and search engine operator Yandex scored $1.3 million in an initial public offering (IPO) of shares on the Nasdaq, causing its shares to go up 40 percent during the first day of trading.
Siano Mobile Silicon, Jerusalem Venture Partners  Mobile digital TV chipmaker Siano Mobile Silicon received $20 million in a round of funding led by Jerusalem Venture Partners.
Music Mastermind, Liberty Global, Intel Capital  Online music composing service Music Mastermind landed $10.8 million in a round B of venture capital financing led by Liberty Global and Intel Capital, with angel investors also participating.
Canduit, Wibiya Mobile application distribution network developer Canduit purchased application and Web toolbar platform Wibiya in an undisclosed deal.
Google, Modu Google acquired a mobile patent portfolio from an out-of-business maker of a line of modular mobile phones Modu in a deal valued at $4.9 million.
Millennial Media, Condaptive Mobile ad and data services provider Millennial Media purchased location-based mobile marketing solutions provider Condaptive in an undisclosed deal.
