LG to Launch Next Honeycomb Tablet

 - Has 3D Screen and Camera
LG’s G-Slate is the next major Honeycomb tablet that’s due on the market where it will compete head-to-head with Motorola’s Xoom. Like most Honeycomb tablets it’ll use Nvidia’s dual-core Tegra 2 chipset.

It’s hoping 3D will set it apart because it has an 8.9-inch 3D display and a 3D camera. Special glasses will be needed to watch 3D.

T-Mobile will sell it in the US where it’ll run on T-Mobile’s 21 Mbps HSPA+ mobile network.

Brad Duea, senior VP of marketing at T-Mobile USA, said, “This will radically shift the way people interact with and consume content while mobile.”

The unit is due on the market this spring.

MobileCityOnline is offering the unit for $699, but is not quoting a ship date.
